Brass Bound Sheesham Military Chest From India - 19thC Bucket 28 x 28 x 26These Anglo Indian Military chests were originally used by officers of the British Indian Army to carry their kit and personal possessions whilst on tour. As they had to withstand a lot of punishment in transit, they were exceptionally well made. This particular Indian chest is particularly unusual being made from Sheesham wood as opposed to teak.
