Pelvic Floor PT & Dry Needling Tips: August Newsletter

Welcome to the Clearwater Therapeutics newsletter! This month we cover Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy and explore the benefits of dry needling!

We Offer Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy is a specialized form of treatment focused on strengthening and rehabilitating the muscles of the pelvic floor. It can help address a variety of conditions such as urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, postpartum recovery, and pelvic organ prolapse. Through exercises, manual therapy, biofeedback, and education, pelvic floor PT aims to improve muscle function, reduce pain, and restore quality of life.

Who is my pelvic floor PT? Dr. Lise Spencer!

Dr. Lise received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine and her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from Montana State University, GO CATS! Lise is a Certified Level 1 Crossfit Coach and is educated on training all ages for injury and pain prevention. Lise has further specialized in the field of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy with Herman and Wallace and Institute of Clinical Excellence.

The Benefits Of Dry Needling

Dry needling offers several benefits, particularly for individuals with muscle pain or tightness. By inserting thin needles into trigger points or tight muscle bands, it helps release tension, improve blood flow, and reduce pain. This technique can enhance mobility, accelerate recovery, and is often used alongside physical therapy to treat conditions like back pain, neck pain, or sports injuries. Not all injuries require dry needling, talk to your physical therapist to see if it’s the right treatment for you!

Come see us for dry needling if you experience Achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, ankle sprains, shin splints, adductor strain, sciatica, hip pain and more!
